Dear Brother James,
I have a problem drinking and I keep trying to stop so I can get myself right with God. When I do stop it is only for a short time then that desire to drink comes back. Is there hope for me?

First and foremost I want to encourage you to STOP LOOKING at the problem and start LOOKING at THE SOLUTION - Jesus The Word of God. Jesus said "If you continue in my word then you are my disciples indeed and you will know the TRUTH and the TRUTH WILL MAKE YOU FREE. Most dead religious teachings condemn you about what you do or don't do, they compare, judge, twist scripture and rely on every source Satan gives man from 12 step programs, to medicines, to psychologies etc. for their solution while calling it Jesus, it is not. To know Jesus you must study Gods Word particularly the New Testament and ask God to give you understanding. It is His word in you that will make you free.
