A Letter From Brother James, OIC
Last nights meeting at the Library opened my eyes to a reality lost in Christianity Today. People need Love along with help. To help but not truly love as Christ Loved nothing is gained for the Kingdom of God.
The meeting was attended by 9 Adults and 6 Children all in various stages of growth in Christ all needing the Love of The Living Christ not religion. And I realized it is Gods desire to fully secure through His Love those in need; physically, spiritually, emotionally and provisionally.
Out of the 15 people 5 were homeless 3 of which were children. Where is the Love.
Something to think about!

THIS IS AN EXCERPT FROM A LETTER RECEIVED FROM A SISTER IN CA.
.....I am , however loving the news leter. I have a new "coffee" routine in the morning and pour over every word. Your sweet, christ filled faces really start my day off with a smile. The WORD is so poingnant, thoughtful and uplifting. I grew up in church but yet sometimes I still wonder what did I ever do without Christ?????? These are the best and happiest of my life. God and I are in constant conversation. He has done fantastic miracles in the life of this little girl - despite what she has done. And now I shudder to think I might have even a pinky outside his will. I KNOW I am Loved, I KNOW Heaven is my home and even tho I ofen come to Him like a child I have finally learned I am not the biggest disappointment he ever created. I try real hard tho
Who else who could create a life like this?

Today is a question posed by a friend who has witnessed a very hurtful time in my life:
Question:"Why is this happening to you if you are trusting Gods Promises?"
Answer: "This is not outside of Gods will. I have loved sincerely. He is causing a deeper repentance in my life and in others, where it will end I can only trust
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Dear Brother James,
I was separated for 17 months from a man I'd been married to almost 15 years. It was 15 years of hell on earth. During the 17 months I was happy and I was being healed and I was never afraid. Then he started increasing his promises that if I would come back to him things would be different. I forgot how bad they use to be and I went back. And now they are worse than ever. What do I do?

Can you lose your salvation?
In Recovery
Dear In Recovery,
There are simple Biblical Truths to that question. The best answer would be "IF" you are saved you are going to be saved. Salvation is a Recovery process. We have been given the Power to become Sons or Daughters of God if we have received Jesus and believed on His Name (see John 1:12). You are also instructed that you must "Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. The most important thing is to understand you must be diligent to know Gods Word of Truth.
Jas 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures
1Pe 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
and
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Its the Word of God received in the Spirit of Understanding that will save you. Keep Studying, Praying, Obeting and Trusting Gods Promises.

LOVING AS CHRIST LOVED IN YOUR MARRIAGE James, OIC
LOVING AS CHRIST LOVED
IN YOUR MARRIAGE
Brother James, OIC
Joh 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Eph 5:21-24 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thin.
Eph 5:25 -32Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Eph 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
God today is building His Church a Spiritual Body of believers. Christ today is saving those who would be God the Fathers out of darkness, separating them from entanglements, covenants, fellowships and partnerships with the world.
The greatest visual example of this is when a man and woman are truly yielded to God in marriage. In this you see the love of Christ protecting and you see the support of the Church Body yielding to her husband.
These marriages are rare today I have been fortunate in seeing this in living examples like our own Chaplain Woody’s marriage; the mystery of Christ and the Church revealed. I believe I myself have this in me and it is my hope for each of you that, if you are experiencing difficulties in your relationships that you turn fully to the study of Gods Word while steadfastly committing the scriptures above to your life and your marriage.
This is not to say every marriage that has a marriage license is of God nor is it to say that everyone married by a preacher is of God, it is to say that you that are of God, if you both turn fully to obeying Gods Word will know the mystery, the inexpressible joy of Christ and The Church.
Yielding to God is your allowing Jesus reign in your life. For some it means a moving from and replacing in totally different surroundings for their walk to be complete in Christ.
Mat 10:34-40 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
And this means that those that want Gods best must break the yokes that keep them looking back.
Php 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Jesus meets each of us where we are at, and He places us where He wants Some He will leave in unequally yoked marriages others He will divide the house where the person that is His can be at peace. That is His business, and He knows the reasons why.
1Co 7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

Dear Brother James,
I have been in 12 step recovery meetings for almost a year and have stayed clean but it seems I cannot win with my sponsor. I've met someone who I like and my sponsor tells me I am not ready for a close relationship. Is this type of counseling in the Bible?
Mark
Dear Brother Mark,
No its not. And where there appears wisdom in theory to tell people no relationships for a year in reality it's imprisonment. I am not saying it is permissible to cross lines of intimacy that's reserved for marriage. I am saying right relationships are healthy and taught in Gods Word. We are in a time where dark and ungodly counsel is given in recovery programs and sadly by many Christians. Gods Word warns us:
1Ti 4:1-6 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

Dear Needing,
First and foremost I want to encourage you to STOP LOOKING at the problem and start LOOKING at THE SOLUTION - Jesus The Word of God. Jesus said "If you continue in my word then you are my disciples indeed and you will know the TRUTH and the TRUTH WILL MAKE YOU FREE. Most dead religious teachings condemn you about what you do or don't do, they compare, judge, twist scripture and rely on every source Satan gives man from 12 step programs, to medicines, to psychologies etc. for their solution while calling it Jesus, it is not. To know Jesus you must study Gods Word particularly the New Testament and ask God to give you understanding. It is His word in you that will make you free. Call me so we can set a time to meet with you.

Hi Beth,
At this time there are the two Saturday Meetings. Within the week the plans are to begin establishing other meetings in the evenings. Keep an eye on the newsletter and they will be announced. The new meetings will be at other locations in Dothan arrangements are being made now. The sign you saw on Main was probably for the meetings I was doing at the OIC Program I founded at the Ark. They are still using our name (without permission) We hope they will soon stop displaying our sign.

Dear Brother James,
I am interested in the work you are doing which you refer to as a Labor of Christs Love and somehow I believe it is. So many give lip service to their ministry but really do not love others just themselves and being seen by others. I will have you and your ministry in prayer and tell Sister Ann that I know first hand what she wrote is true about all marriages are not of God. When I finally got tired of the abuse I was living in I escaped and not a moment to soon.
I can see that you both can truly help others as you've each walked through the fire. I will be keeping you in prayer.
Virginia
Dear Virginia,
It's letters like yours that stamp my ticket. The devil certainly doesn't want us doing this labor of love. He even went so far as sending his false minister to try to defraud me and bully me out of it but as Paul the Apostle wrote:
Php 1:15-16 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel
1Co 9:16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
Thank you for your prayers!

Dear Brother James,
How are you? Do you remember me, my name is Matt and I was with you at Ventress and came to your Bible Studies and was at Elba Work Release with you in 1997 when you started the Overcomers In Christ meetings there? I stayed at Elba a good two years after you were and the meetings you started continued to grow and were held 3 times a week. I believe they are still being held. I am out now and will call you soon so I can come see you. I would like to start a meeting here in Macon where I live.
Your Brother, Matt
Dear Brother Matt,
How could I forget you dear friend? I remember you attended every meeting making sure coffee was made and could say the preamble verbatim. I look forward to seeing you and when you are ready I will come there and help you start the meetings. God Bless You. Let me know if you need anything?

Dear Brother James,
I was very sad when you were not at the ark. The meetings you did there were very anointed and helped me grow in the word of God more than any other church I have been to. I stopped attending the meetings after the first time I went and you were not leading it. There was some guy doing it I think his name was Harold or something like that. It was very dry and boring and I felt like he was bragging on himself. I look forward to coming to your new meetings at the library on saturdays. I am so glad your not at the ark anymore the place itself gave me the creeps. God Bless.
Dear Sister In Christ,
Do not be dismayed over what you felt at the Ark there was little life there before OIC and now its being devoured by wolves, the Word foretold of these things. There are a few spots of Light at the Ark but none I know in leadership. I'm only sorry for the residents there and the continued mis-use of our ministry name and logo. Please pray for the men that have to be there.

Dear Brother James,
I'm not sure if you will remember me but I was recently in SE Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. I had gone there because a surgery on my foot appeared to have gotten infected. You were in a room across the aisle from my room praying for someone when I waved at you and you walked over. You noticed how red and swollen my foot was and you told me not to be afraid that Jesus wanted to heal it. You prayed and left me a flyer to your Good Newsletter. Well shortly after you left they came and took me for tests. Just looking at my foot red and swollen I knew the infection was bad BUT when their tests were returnd there was NO infection, PRAISE THE NAME OF JESUS! Thank you for your faithfulnes. Hello,
I am a new believer and I have a question: What is being led by the spirit? Is it my gut instinct? If it is it hasn't turned out well for me doing that.
A Follower of Christ
Dear Follower,
Being led by the Spirit is to be a Follower of Christ. Terminology alone doesn't make it so. Nor does simply being a believer. Gut instinct can be persuaded by many voices, some may sound like the Spirit and is in actuality a spirit but not neccessarily Gods Spirit.
The first thing for a new believer to do is to learn to study, trust, pray and obey Gods Word as ultimately its the Word in you that will show you the way. It is important for a new believer to find a Body of True Believers and submit to the authority of the Pastor and Elders. Submitting to authority is not blind submission and Jesus warns us to be careful what you hear. So verify the teachings with prayerful study of scripture and the counsel whether it be of God.
Know this that Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you, stay in Truth and you will recognize, hear and follow His Voice.

My name is Margie and I am curious if you are the same Brother James that was on an early morning radio show about 5 months ago? If so I have a question, "How can someone who has never been a drug user deal help a family member addicted to drugs?" I had tried to call the Ark and the Radio Station both of which I just got voice mails, then I found your flyer at the Grocer on a Bulletin Board.
Also I would like an address I can something God told me to send to you.
Blessings,
Margie
Dear Sister Margie,
I may well have been the same Brother James on the radio show. It was early Tuesday mornings on a station we are no longer associated with. Soon Pastor Ronnie Wilkerson and myself as well as a variety of guests will begin a new call in Christian Recovery Radio Show. We will be announcing the time and station soon.
Yes there is something that someone can do for a family member on drugs. If the person on drugs is a non-Christian or a young Christian openly admitting his/her struggles then the place to start is intercessory prayer. If the person on Drugs is a brother or sister in Christ leading a non-confessed but discovered secret lifestyle of drugs they should first be approached to confess that their lifestyle is wrong and get into fellowship and attend our Recovery Meetings. If the person is determined to continue in the problem without remorse the one trying to help him/her needs to release them into the world and its god Satan and do not intercede for them until they are ready to return to God through the acknowledging of the Truth.
Please call me 334-718-2121 so we can talk more about this and I will also give you the meeting times. Also please sign up for our Good Newsletter:

Brother James;
I do not know what this "tract" is that you are giving out, enlightening people of what is "going on at the Ark", and someone coming into the Thrift Store and feeling that "something is not right" is ridiculous. The Thrift store has nothing to do with OIC and none of the profits go to that organization, only back into the Ark itself to help others. Lloyd and myself are blessed to be volunteering there and we try our best to help people. We pray for people and witness to them about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. None of the "inmates" are permitted in the Thrift Store and we have no connection to them or OIC.
Your bitterness and quest for revenge against Bill Brown and others in the Ark is out of line and ungodly. You need to forgive and get on with your life. Apparently you are doing a good job with your new organization, but I do not believe God will continue to bless you if you try to destroy those who have hurt you and hurting other innocent people through this.
Lloyd and I continue to pray for you and love you in the Lord.
Connie
Sister Connie,
I do not believe the lady that wrote was referring to the Thrift Store. The building and everything in it is known to many as the Ark including the Homeless Shelter that is still using the OIC name. Like Gina at Ginas Hair Salon next door says she has known there is a strong demonic principality over the building. We were on a prayer quest to pierce the darkness there at one time. A darkness I dont see you nor Lloyd being a part of nor as from your letter aware of.
It is not vindicativeness on my part, what God has birthed in me with OIC is very much alive and attracting those that God would call to Christs healing. Truth is Truth and those Jesus called the Least Of These should be defended, protected and made aware of where danger lies. Jesus does not approve that the end justifies the means in order to build a ministry and people hurt are cared about by God.
If the devil was hurting someone you love wouldn't you defend them?
Neverthe less I may withdraw the tracts as it is evident many people that are in the Light already know about the things that are in darkness at The Ark

I read your Good Newsletter today. And Brother I want to encourage you to keep pressing forward. I was at OIC at The Ark after your testings came. I've heard the rumors, the gossip and I've sat in the driest self righteous and condemning Bible Studies by Harold and have seen meanness ( a very reserved and kind description) in Bills eyes. I've kept myself awake through lifeless Church Services and know it was only politics and connections keeping that hurtful place open. I was curious about you and subscribed to your newsletter. Brother keep on keeping on God is with you and remove your peace and dust the dust of that place off your feet. I will be at your meeting soon.

I have made an effort to make peace with the Homeless Shelter Overseer. It appears their attitude is that the end justifies the means. But as long as the ministry is more important than those they are suppose to help the Love of God will never be present.
A true work of God is never in numbers but in sincerity and Truth in the Love of Christ.

Thinking it may have been me I went again and this same feeling came over me. Now that I’ve seen your tract it confirms what I believed the Holy Spirit was telling me. Also I will heed the warning about the Women’s Conference they are sponsoring. I just pray eyes are opened before they hurt anymore people. We are surely in the last days

Dear OIC,
I picked up one of your flyers and writings at the Library in Dothan.
I was abused growing up by my Mothers boyfriend. Lar on when I got tired of almost nightly visits to my room I told my Mom. She refused to believe me. I know now that she was scared to lose him. I know this as I turned out like her except I seem to constantly get myself into abusive
relationships. I want to come to your meeting. Your writing was very open honest and right on. Blessings to your ministry and I will be in prayer praying for all who are being abused.

Hello,
I wanted to write and thank you for the work you are doing. Not many take time to help those in need or struggling with depression or addictions but its even rarer when there's someone who you know truly loves others. My son was kicked out of the Ark. He said his stay there was miserable after you left he was so happy to run into you again, he said it had to be God. As soon as you have your program house open he wants to come. Let me know if I may be of any help to you.

Thank you and I hope to meet you all soon at one of your meetings.

Dear Brother James,
I saw a flyer at the Library that told me that I could receive total healing in every area of my life through Jesus Christ. I was doubting to myself but then something spoke to my heart and I was filled with hope that there is a God and He would help me. The flyer was about a meeting at the library. I haven’t attended yet but I did sign up for this newsletter and have been encouraged there is a way to live again.
My situation is that I’m trapped in a marriage with man who won’t work, who blames me for all his problems, who accuses me of doing things I don’t do. Yet I work, I pay the bills, I handle the household and raise my children while he sits at the computer and plays games. I want to leave, I need to leave for my own sanity. Is there really help?
Dear Sister,
Jesus can and will make a way for you. He can heal you totally physically, spiritually, emotionally and provisionally. Gods Promises In Christ gives you the authority to ask what you will and it will be done for you. This Power begins its life inside you when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. But many in today’s Church do not even know the real Jesus nor the Truth of His Gospel. We have the Recovery Meeting at the Library to facilitate your growing in Gods Truth. And we are here for you.
But to begin your journey I ask that you take time to begin reading the New Testament starting in the 4th Book The Gospel of John, then read straight through to the end of Revelation. Its not a long read. I encourage you to ask God before you begin to speak to you and then leave your heart open for a Living Word to come forth that will be Him speaking to your heart. Pay close attention to the things He promises you, mark them and learn them and trust them they are yours
